Before letting you go to conquer my top 10, I’m going to introduce myself since I’m the new kid in the Geeks And Com’ family. Being the owner of a Meta Quest 2 helmet, I will be able to test several games in virtual reality. I am a gaming mom of 3 children, only one of whom is a gamer.
Games have always been an escape for me. Finding myself in the skin of the characters, conquering the world and living different stories is by far what I prefer. Lately VR and more specifically the Meta Quest 2 have hit me hard, I’m both intrigued and obsessed with what artificial intelligence will bring to virtual reality in the years to come.
I’m here to test what happens in virtual reality, even for children, because they too can have access to a healthy and educational place in technology! So here is my TOP 10 for the Meta Quest helmet. Some games are also available on PSVR and PCVR.
I fell in love with Quill, the adventurous little mouse. You can play it comfortably and just enjoy it.
There is depth in the story for a VR game, that’s what we’re looking for. The graphics are the element that stood out to me the most, the details are so realistic that I felt like I had both feet in the forest. Animation and sound are all the more important to me to stay overwhelmed by the realistic. I stayed hooked to the game from start to finish, despite the pitfalls, I overcame the branches in my path.
The Last Clockwinder
What a clever game, I have developed an addiction to its little robots! The story was made for VR, the puzzles are fun, and the logistical challenges are incredible. The narrator’s tone transports us to a state of calm and the background music is relaxing.
Impossible to get angry if the difficulty in completing the puzzles arises since the game plunges us into a state of hypnosis. An ingenious and unique game with a spellbinding art style.
Simple, effective and pleasant. When we play with a group of friends in accommodation, laughter is guaranteed and the Among us experience takes on its full meaning.
On the other hand, when the game is played in public mode, the game takes a completely different turn. He should have the option of choosing French or English rooms. In addition, it is time to innovate to quietly join the other platforms of Among us. The VR version would need a progression system for tasks and different blueprints. Never forget that you cannot trust your teammate.
It takes a long time to start, but when the creator’s plot arose, I felt a quest throughout thereafter. I’m a big fan of puzzle games and this mysterious story has me blown away throughout. We are immersed in an artistic universe, when we put on the masks we have created, we travel to different places, which makes the story all the more captivating.
My colleague Maxime Chartier also had the chance to test the game and here is his opinion:
“Maskmaker is a unique game that allows us to get out of our comfort zone by putting forward our artistic side. Being at my beginnings in the world of VR, I discover step by step the best games that the MetaQuest2 offers us. Maskmaker is one of them.
The puzzles are not too difficult to solve and you quickly get a taste for creating masks. This last point is a pretext to move forward in the adventure offered by the developers. It’s quite unique as a system and well suited to the world of virtual reality.
What’s more, the story is intriguing. We need to figure out what happened with the creator, now gone. The environment is magnificent and changes according to the different levels. Masmaker offers quite complete content and you will have almost ten hours of play. An 8/10 for me! *digital version sent by the publisher* »
And yes, a game of pleasure and surpassing above all. Do you like music and dancing? This game is for you. We are far from VR games for training, because we do not feel this pressure in the universe of the cubes, on the other hand you will sweat just as much.
He innovates and adds new music constantly which makes the long term experience very enjoyable and enjoyable.
Next in the top 10 will be VR games on Meta Quest 2 for children
The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pet
Did I say for child? Yet I ask for more. We loved everything until the last moment. For my 8 year old daughter, this game ranked at the top of her list.
I wanted to help my daughter on a level and I fell in love with it, against my will. So I played on the sly when she was at school, because I was afraid she would nag me.
Garden of the Sea
Still in the same category, it places this game in second position. The concept is great, a mix of VR farming game and Animal crossing. The creatures are too cute, we can give them love by petting them. We each take our turn since the multiplayer option is missing.
Calm and sometimes complex, we complement each other wonderfully, as they say: two heads are better than one.
Simple, effective and adorable. This game helped my daughter understand VR and manipulation. In addition to being relaxing and warm, taking care of Bogo makes the experience pleasant. It’s kind of like having a tamagotchi in VR or the pet without the downsides.
His very first VR game. I have a little artist who loves to create. She was able to make an incredible canvas with the array of different tools. When she feels overexcited, she opts for this game, because it relaxes her. A little over 5 months have passed and she returns there daily to create new masterpieces.
Floor Plan 2
She is having fun, often giggles during quests and is constantly on the move. Quickly she gets stuck in a level so she loses interest in it quickly.
On the other hand, she feels attracted all the same since she returns there a few days later. I think they rushed things so it more or less makes sense, but the game is all
even funny and well thought out.
We would love to give thanks to the writer of this short article for this amazing content
