If the metaverse, this booming virtual universe, is definitely a new social and work experience revolutionizing our digital world, it is currently poorly understood and unframed. This is why the Go4Metaverse think tank was born. It aims to not only promote its many benefits but also explain social responsibility and ethical practices for Web3 and metaverse pioneers. Let’s discover the projects resulting from the Go4Metaverse initiative.
Why bet on the metaverse?
It is undeniable that the metaverse is becoming an exponentially growing market. According to a study by Gartner1 in 4 people will spend 1 hour a day in the metaverse by 2026. This growth is fueled by technological advances such as virtual reality and augmented reality, which make the user experience increasingly immersive.
Additionally, the metaverse has many potential use cases, ranging from professional training to augmented reality to video games. It can also be used to improve communication between people or for immersive experiences.
Moreover, the metaverse is considered to be a key tool for tomorrow’s economy. It makes it possible to create new economic models, new business opportunities and new jobs.
What is Go4Metaverse?
Go4Metaverse, is a spontaneous collective initiative of Web3 companies and associations inspired by Chef Almir during his European tour in 2022 aimed at raising awareness among political leaders on the continued deforestation of the Amazon.
The Go4Metaverse collective, modeled on the partnership between Chef Almir and Google Earth, wishes to enhance the visibility of this fight by making it real in the metaverse, making both developers and users of the metaverse aware of the human and environmental issues defended by the first peoples.
The first meeting in the metaverse with the Surui people took place on June 20, 2022 on WorkAdventure at the initiative of Nancy V. Gomez (Khepry88), Gaël Dupert de (Meta Year Book) and Emmanuel Moyrand (France Meta). Featured to the community at Metavers Summit and MetaDays. Go4Metaverse has since become a community and network of web3 ambassadors hosted and administered by Khepry88.
Isaure Courcenet will also deal with the subject of digital identity, as well as the challenge of peer-to-peer communications in the world of tomorrow.
Why is it important to build a responsible and sustainable metaverse in France and in Europe?
France in the first place, and Europe in the second place, have a privileged position to build a relevant metaverse. It is necessary to have an entity to coordinate the efforts of all the actors involved. Go4Metaverse is a key player in meeting this challenge.
However, we must not forget that technological innovation must be accompanied by ethical reflection to avoid the pitfalls that can accompany this revolution.
Ethical issues in the metaverse revolution
In addition to being an innovative tool, the metaverse must also be ethical. It is crucial to protect users against abuse and virtual violence, to guarantee data confidentiality and to respect the rights of content creators.
By committing now to respect the standards of propriety, Go4Metaverse and its members act in prevention to build an ethical metaverse.
The Metaverse to save the Amazon rainforest
January 2023 marks a milestone for Go4Metaverse. Indeed, the association will see its new project presented by Isaure Courcenet during the Crypto Summit taking place in parallel with the World Economic Forum in Davos. Thus giving the association’s ambassador the opportunity to highlight the AMAR (Amazing Metaverse Amazon Rainforest) program, launched in 2022 by Go4Metaverse in partnership with Chef Almir and Google Earth. This program aims to raise awareness among Metaverse developers and users of the human and environmental issues related to the deforestation of the Amazon. It will be developed in collaboration with META REILA, the association of Chef Almir, and will offer training for young users of the Metavers and the gaming.

The right man to present the project is a woman. Indeed Isaure Courcenet is a leader in the field of blockchain, striving to accelerate the impact of decentralized technologies in a responsible and sustainable way. As an ambassador of the sector, it facilitates access to this new technological revolution. She is active in many events such as CES Las Vegas, Metaverse Summit Paris, Blockchain HEC.
Moral of the story : “Acting ethically now is the key to building the responsible and sustainable metaverse of tomorrow.”
