The next few months are going to be hectic at Apple. It looks like the company is set to launch a plethora of new products, from the iPhone and Apple Watch to the Homepod and MacBooks. We tell you everything…
The coming year promises to be eventful for Apple. Just recovered from WWDC 2022 where the firm presented, among other things, its new Apple Silicon M2 chiphis new iOS 16 system and of new macbooksthere are rumors of a new burst of products.
According to the always very knowledgeable Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, the company is preparing to present a “deluge” of new products in the coming year. The journalist even goes so far as to affirm that it would be “of one of the most ambitious periods in history [d’Apple] in terms of new products“. Between the fall of 2022 and the end of 2023, the new products of the apple brand are likely to tumble in droves. We take stock.
iPhone 14 and 14 Pro
The first products that we should see hitting the market are obviously the new iPhone 14 and 14 Pro. This is obviously not a surprise since Apple releases new smartphones every year, but Mark Gurman seems to know a little more about the brand’s next star smartphones. The four future iPhones, which are already the subject of many rumors, fall into two categories. First there would be the Pro and Pro Max models which would introduce a new Apple A16 chip, a 48 Mpx photo sensor and a screen with a punch to allow recognition via Face ID.
The iPhone 14 and 14 Max meanwhile would retain the Apple A15 chip that is already found in the current iPhone 13. A difference in treatment between the ranges which may be due the difficulty of sourcing semiconductors. This new generation would also sign the end of theiPhone Mini, in favor of the Max model. The Lightning socket should remain on all iPhone models again this year, despite the recent European legislation.
MacBooks with the M3 chip
While Apple has just presented its M2 chip, it is rumored that the successor is already in the pipeline. The Silicon M3 chip should, according to Gurman, debut in 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs that Apple will introduce next year. In the meantime, other computers should obviously come to complete the range. The release of the Mac Mini M2 and M2 Pro, the 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and Max chips as well as the Mac Pro M2 Ultra and M2 Extreme should punctuate the 2022-2023 period.
In addition to many machines in development, Apple should therefore present derivatives of its M2 chip to offer even more power to the most demanding users. For MacBook Po with Oled screen on the other hand, it will be necessary a priori wait until 2024.
Apple’s AR/VR headset
Probably the most anticipated Apple product, mixed reality headset on which the company is working is still being talked about. The gadget, which should be announced during the year 2023, would ship an Apple M2 chip as well as 16 GB of RAM. Bloomberg does not give more information on the subject, but we know that it should mix augmented reality and virtual reality, embed two OLED panels and cost around $2,000.

Revamped iPad and Apple Watch
Still on the side of star products, Apple should present new iPads equipped with the M2 chip later in 2022. No surprise there again, the brand’s tablets are entitled to a refresh every year, but it seems that this year’s range shakes things up a bit. A A 14.1-inch iPad Pro could be presented in 2023, in addition to the traditional iPad Pro 11 and 12.9 inches that would come with improved photo modules. Finally a Entry-level iPad with USB-C port should also hit the market in the coming months.

In the absence of offers discover
As for the Apple Watch, we expect little new, except for the arrival of a new “reinforced” model that should delight fans of extreme sports. Series 8 watches, scheduled for fall 2022, will ship a priori a processor similar to that of current models. The new chips will wait until the year 2023. A Apple WatchSE new generation could also replace the Series 3 as an entry-level product.
Airpods Pro 2 and new Homepod
In the midst of this surge of products, new Airpods Pro are also expected, with a new design and a more powerful chip. And while we no longer expected it, a new Homepod should also see the light of day, but not before mid-2023. The latter could carry a touch screen, a bit like what the competition does. According to Bloombergthis new product, equipped with the same chip as the new Apple Watch, would be closer to the Classic HomePod only Homepod Mini in terms of audio quality.
Finally, a new Apple TV (nicknamed J255) is also in the works. The multimedia box would be equipped with the A14 chip and would gain a few GB of RAM to make it a machine more suitable for playing video games.
