The month of January is often the time to choose training courses for the next school year. For some exciting, for others agonizing including (and especially) for the parents, this period constitutes a strong moment for the pupils and accentuates the desire to clarify their future. So we take the opportunity to scour trade shows and other events on the theme of orientation in the hope of finding our vocation as we approach the patent or the baccalaureate. This year again, the training offered is wide : of after 3rd in graduate studies.

HAS the entrance to the complex CO’Metthey were also many in the blur before entering the arena. During discussions between friends, often questions but also full of ideas in the head. ” You have a hour ! »says a teacher to his students. The coward wild animals thirsty for answers then made difficult to access the stands from the crowded aisles. To help them, the organizers had prepared a treasure hunt to allow middle school students who do not know which spaces to visit to discover 3 of them, based on questions about trades, professional sectors or training.

Strengthen certain sectors

HAS An initiative of the Centre-Val de Loire region, this forum aims to highlight professions and professional sectors while helping to make training courses clearer. The region does not hide it. Some sectors are in tension and this three-day event should make it possible to arouse interest in certain sectors: research and technology, hotels and restaurants, health, etc. All the more so with the recent opening of the Faculty of Medicine in Orléans and at a time when the sector is in great pain in the region.

New technologies at the service of learning

So to attract new faces, some schools are now seeking to reinvent themselves in their teaching. Several establishments present on this forum have made available technologies that allow the curious to realize the reality of the profession thanks to an augmented reality scenario. This is the case of vocational high school Jean Lurçat which offers an initiation to welding workshop for its boilermaking training. “The simulator allows a first contact with the profession and allows us to reduce the costs to train new students”confides Karim Zaroili, school teacher.

If the young visitors to the show demonstrate certain predispositions to the profession during the test, this is less the case for the President of the region François Bonneau, who came to inaugurate the show in the afternoon of January 12. On the other hand, he showed a little more application scissors in hand when it came to making a haircut. It is interesting to recontextualize the practice of a profession thanks to the immersion offered by these new technologies.enthuses the President of the region. In situation and by the gesture that goes with it, there are many more appropriations and it thus makes it possible to see the conformity between its representations and the reality of a job “.
