ArborXR Announces Strategic Collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies to Help Enterprises Scale Their VR and AR Deployments

SILICON VALLEY, California, May 26, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Arbor XR today announced that the company will work with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. on an extended reality (XR) mobile device management (MDM) platform to enable enterprises to more easily scale their virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) headset deployments.

By working closely with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners and direct enterprise customers, ArborXR and Qualcomm Technologies have identified key issues that persist when scaling a fleet of XR headsets . Businesses today looking to deploy a fleet of VR or AR devices face many challenges when it comes to finding headsets, registering and managing them remotely, installing apps, and updates, and to control the user experience.

To address these issues, ArborXR will provide device management software to Qualcomm Technologies XR and OEM customers for large-scale deployments, which will be used with Qualcomm Technologies’ industry-leading VR/AR hardware available. OEMs will be able to pre-install ArborXR, and ArborXR’s software will support new Qualcomm Technologies VR and AR reference designs early in the development cycle.

ArborXR’s software allows organizations to manage VR and AR devices, remotely deploy apps, and lock down the user experience, all from a kiosk-mode program and customizable launcher. ArborXR’s current customers include Fortune 500 companies, universities, and hundreds of independent software vendors.

“With large-scale deployments, we increasingly need this kind of deeper integration,” said Brad Scoggin, CEO of ArborXR. “By working with Qualcomm Technologies on the Snapdragon® platform and directly with OEMs, we will be able to provide enterprises with a powerful and transparent platform for managing their fleets. »
