What if the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 14 Pro was installed on your Android smartphone thanks to this application?

The famous “Dynamic Island” feature of the iPhone 14 Pro, which is causing a lot of ink to flow, is already available on Android by downloading a simple application. Not everything is perfect yet, but the result is already promising.

With its iPhone 14 Pro, Apple introduced the feature Dynamic Island which makes it possible to display contextual information while cleverly hiding the “pill” which integrates the front camera module and the various sensors for unlocking by facial recognition. An Android application that copies this operation is already available on Android through the Play Store.

Dynamic Island already available on Android via this application

This was to be expected and it happened quite quickly. Some Android manufacturers are already ready to copy Dynamic Islandbut a developer by the name of Jawomo grilled the priority to everyone. Indeed, it already offers in early access on the Play Store an application named “dynamicSpot – Multitasking”. As of this writing, it already has over 50,000 downloads.

The application allows you to display recent notifications in a floating island that is positioned at the level of the camera module on the front of your phone. The developer has also thought about the positioning of the latter according to the location of the front camera on your phone.

Everything does not yet work as well as on iOS, but the application is already relatively convincing for a beta version. Some options are interesting, such as the possibility of displaying up to two pop-up notifications at the same time or swiping left to erase the pill.

Some features are reserved for the paid version of the application (a one-time payment of 3.99 euros). This is the case of the display of the dynamic island on the lock screen or the possibility of making a long press on the window to enlarge or reduce it. It is also possible to make it disappear automatically after the duration of your choice.

To make it work as well as possible, the app asks for full accessibility controls when setting it up. It can therefore control everything that is displayed on your smartphone screen or monitor interactions with applications on your behalf. On the overview page of “dynamicSpot”the developer specifies however that no data is collected or shared with third parties.

We installed the app on a Samsung smartphone and it works well so far. Everything is not perfect yet and we are still far from the level of integration offered by Apple, but it is still promising for an early release. If you test it, do not hesitate to share with us your feedback.
