Owners of Pixel smartphones have the scoop on annual and quarterly Android updates that introduce more or less significant new features and improvements. If the one scheduled for early June does not look spectacular, we already know that it will satisfy all those who regretted the disappearance of the vibrate mode icon which was displayed in the status bar. Removed for no apparent reason a while ago, it will return with the next Android update, the stable version of which will be released on June 6. A user who installed the third beta version of Android 12 QPR3 made this discovery which he shared via Reddit.
It may seem incidental, but the vibrator icon can be particularly useful to avoid embarrassing situations when the phone rings in the middle of a meeting (or at the cinema…), when you thought you had cut the ringtone. In addition to the return of the vibrate icon, the June Android update adds an option in the Sound and vibration menu of Settings that allows you to activate or mute the display of said icon.

Which Pixel smartphones are eligible for this update? The Pixel 6 and its big brother the Pixel 6 Pro of course, the Pixel 5 and the Pixel 4 and Pixel XL. For older models, the vibrator icon will unfortunately be a distant memory.
We would like to give thanks to the writer of this post for this outstanding material
