Teleperformance (Paris:TEP) and UNI Global Union (“UNI”) announce today that they have signed a global agreement to strengthen their joint commitments on the rights of employees to form unions and to bargain collectively. This agreement also reflects a concerted desire for progress in the area of the working environment, particularly in health and safety.
The pact covers the group’s 440,000 employees worldwide. UNI, its member unions and Teleperformance management will start implementing the agreement in the coming weeks in Colombia, Poland, Jamaica, El Salvador and Romania.
The agreement is based on the recognition of fundamental labor rights as established by the International Labor Organization and on compliance with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. Teleperformance also recognizes the UNI as a stakeholder under the duty of vigilance law in France.
