Stranger Things: the first minutes of season 4 already on the internet

The first minutes of season 4 are available on Twitter, a week before the official launch.

By surprise, Netflix unveils the first eight minutes of season 4 of Stranger Things. This is not a leak or an error on the part of the platform, but a well-rehearsed communication campaign. It must be said that in three years, the spectators have had time to move on, and that Netflix wants to remind the series of the Duffer brothers to their good memories.

For the past few weeks, she has been increasing the operations punch to attract their attention. The platform will even organize a festival in Paris, to immerse its French subscribers in heart from the retro universe of the series.

With all this noise, it is therefore difficult to imagine that the series is a failure for the streaming giant. Especially since the first reviews are rather glowing. A few lucky ones have already been able to discover the first episode, and the reactions are unanimous.

The turn to horror taken by the series works miracles. The characters having grown, it’s time to tackle the serious things. For Alex Zalben of Decide : “Stranger Thing Season 4 is high stakes, emotional and scarier than ever. But more than anything, it’s so good to get back to these characters and this show. Rejoice because she is second to none on TV.”

The longer it is…

We recently learned that the season 4 would be much longer than the previous ones. Several episodes would even easily exceed the two-hour mark. Netflix’s choice to offer this new season in two separate bursts was therefore not trivial. If the first seven will be accessible from May 27 next, you will have to wait until 1st of July to discover the continuation, that is to say two last shutters.

The plot should immerse us several months after the finale of season 3, as the friends prepare to meet for spring break. Will, Eleven, Jonathan and Joyce have moved on, and not all of them are adapting so well to this new living environment.

Starting with the young girl, now without powers, who is far from popular in her Californian school. Our heroes will also cross paths with new comrades, who should help them unravel the mysteries of the Upside Down and the strange new phenomena taking place in the small town of Hawkins.

In the casting, we will obviously find Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, David Harbor and Winona Ryder. Joe Keery, starring in Free Guy, will also be there and will play opposite Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton and Gaten Matarazzo. New actors have also been recruited starting with Amybeth McNulty. The actress who distinguished herself in Anne with an E will play Vickie, a new student who will befriend the merry band.

Added to this already extensive list, Grace Van Dien (The Village), Robert Englund (Freddy: Claws of the Night), Jamie Campbell Bower (The Mortal Instruments) and Myles Truitt (Black Lightning).
