The EG800Q-EU, an ultra-compact module in LGA format, provides enhanced flexibility for IoT concepts and expands the range of IoT use cases, especially for size-sensitive applications.
Based on Qualcomm® QCX216 LTE IoT Modem from Qualcomm Technologies Inc., EG800Q-EU is an LTE module only for customers in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Australia, New Zealand markets and Israel with LTE-FDD B1 / 3/ 5/ 7/ 8/ 20/ 28 band coverage. The module provides a maximum downlink data rate of 10 Mbps while improving the battery, which is a key advantage for a variety of high-performance IoT applications like smart utility meters, asset locators, e-mobility, parking meters and home automation.
As the EG800Q-EU supports the Cat.1 bis standard, it uses only one antenna, which allows it to offer the best cost-performance ratio and makes the module the ideal solution for terminals IoT designed to be compact and economical.

In addition, the EG800Q-EU module offers a rich set of internet protocols and industry-standard interfaces, including USB 2.0/ UART/ I2C/ PCM/ USIM standards, extending its compatibility to a variety of devices. IoT applications such as asset management, remote managed access control (RMAC) and smart grids. Additionally, the module supports DFOTA to enable automatic firmware update and built-in Wi-Fi positioning services when there is no GPS signal inside the building.
