The French Hiking Federation (FFRP) has just launched a new mobile application, called “MaRando”.
This platform is dedicated to all practitioners, young and old hikers, licensed or not. It includes routes approved and labeled by the FFRP. The opportunity to find the circuits supervised by the departmental hiking committee, in Eure-et-Loir.
The chairman of the committee, Christian Lesieur, explains: “This is a free application. We’ve been working on it for months. Many circuits are already available, others will be soon. »
“A real plus for hikers”
He adds: “The goal is to offer all the walking and hiking trails (PR®), the long-distance hiking trails (GR®) and the long-distance country hiking trails (GRP®). We are working to feed this platform with the updates made, explanations on the trails… It’s a real plus for hikers. People who wish to download a PDF can do so and print the plans. »
In addition, the departmental hiking committee has a website. “This site brings together all the information related to hiking in Eure-et-Loir, specifies the president. It is an access door. This is where we communicate about our news, such as the route changes that have been made, markups, training…”
