INFOGRAPHICS. According to a survey by the Grande Ecole du Numérique, 15 IT professions are currently highly sought after by employers. Discover these buoyant and promising professions, some of which announce very attractive salaries.
The developer king of oil? In a study published at the beginning of the year by the Grande Ecole du Numérique (GEN) and relating to job offers published on the Indeed platform and the LinkedIn social network, developer job appears as the most sought after by companies among 55 jobs in the digital and IT sector.
“Full-stack” or “devOps” developer, the most sought-after IT professions
On the side of the Association for the employment of executives (Apec) the observation is the same. In his two studies on IT professions published at the end of December 2021, the developer position is again at the top of the job offers received by Apec last year, for the sixth year in a row!
Developers: need for generalists and IT specialists
- The “full-stack” developer is the most versatile. This GP is able to work at all stages of the design and development of software or a web application;
- The front-end web developer works on the web page or application as seen by the user;
- The back-end developer focuses on the immersed part of the software or application;
- The mobile developer works on applications for smartphones.
In addition to the generalist, specialized developers (“front-end” and “back-end”) are also highly sought after for their advanced technical skills.
Data analyst, community manager… promising digital professions
Other digital professions are also very buoyant. Among the 15 most sought-after professions according to GEN survey figure that of Community Manager : this communication specialist makes people talk about a product or an event on social networks (Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, Tik Tok etc.).
For his part, the data analyst (also sometimes called “data scientists”) makes the masses of information and data collected on the web speak: all this data is worth gold and it is able to exploit it. His expertise also earned him a small fortune: 35,000 to 40,000 euros gross per year for a beginner at 50,000 to 60,000 euros gross per year with experience.
The “scrum master” meanwhile is a kind of team leader (“scrum” in English also means “scrum”, editor’s note). This IT Project Manager is trained in so-called “agile” working methods. He is responsible for setting the project to music with the technical teams by helping them overcome obstacles at each of its stages.
But whatever profession you choose, it will remain buoyant in the years to come : the digitization of human activities is far from complete!
