For the second time in Saint-Étienne, the Camille Jordan Institute is organizing on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, a day “Girls, maths and IT: a luminous equation” in partnership with associations Women and mathematics , animath and the Blaise Pascal Foundation.
You are a schoolgirl in third class, a high school student in second class, dare to turn to scientific studies!
Being a female mathematician and computer scientist is possible!
This day is for you.
Women have tried it, you can meet them, listen to them and discover their journey.
You will be able to advance in your reflection within workshops in small groups.
A speed-meeting will be offered to broaden your vision through discussions with professionals.
To end this day in style, you will participate in a play.

Registrations
- The day is open to middle school girls in the third class and high school girls in the second class.
The capacity is limited to 80 girls, each establishment will then only be able to enroll about fifteen high school girls, accompanied by a teacher. - Registration is made by teachers, after consultation with their headteacher, by completing the online form.
Online registration does not constitute acceptance. It will be confirmed by the organizers depending on the places available. - This day is considered as an internship, in a place of higher education.
Each high school student must complete the internship agreement and the image rights form.
The scans of these documents will be sent by the teacher to the organizers. - Registration deadline: November 20, 2022
- Cost: There is no registration fee.
- Participation in these days is financed by the organization, but the transport costs are the responsibility of the schools.

General presentation of the action: “Maths and computer girls”: a luminous equation”
This day will be the 150th day “girls math and computer science: a luminous equation” organized on French territory and it will take place in Saint-Étienne!
For this occasion, we will have the pleasure to welcome in video, for our conference, Aurelie Jean, French numerical scientist and entrepreneur specialized in algorithms and numerical modelling.
