The Future4care start-up accelerator officially inaugurates its premises and its digital platform

On June 10, 2021, Sanofi, Capgemini, Generali and Orange announced the creation of Future4care, which aims to accelerate the development of European e-health solutions until they are brought to market. A little less than a year after the launch of this initiative, Future4care inaugurated, on May 16, the opening of its premises located in the heart of the Biopark in Paris and its digital platform.

The Covid-19 pandemic has revealed the lack of agility of the health system. To remedy this problem, Sanofi, Capgemini, Generali and Orange have identified two issues: health sovereignty and the decompartmentalization of the system. To respond to this, these companies created Future4Care, a start-up accelerator.

Agnès Pannier-Runacher, then Minister Delegate for Industry, declared:

“I welcome the creation of DE Future4care, in line with the government’s priorities to make France a leading country in digital health. Digital innovation is indeed at the heart of our priorities to improve patient care and find more effective therapeutic solutions. »

On September 22, 2021, the first call for projects dedicated to digital e-health was launched and, the following December, the 20 selected e-health start-ups joined Future4care to form its first promotion: ArcaScience, Bbalance, Blazar, Bliss Digital Therapeutics, Bodyo, Casis , Hoppen, I-Virtual, Juisci, Kapcode, Knok, MaPatho, Medvir, PK Vitality, Remedee Labs, Rofim, SentinHealth, Trayvisor, Wefight and Whitelab.

While these start-ups joined Future4care last February and their personalized support began, the first collaborations emerged very quickly, like that between I-Virtual and Knok. The two start-ups, who met when they joined Future4Care, announced on March 1 that I-Virtual was integrating its solution for measuring physiological parameters Caducy into the Knok platform for the benefit of healthcare professionals and patients. .

Future4care launched its second call for applications in April on the subjects of personalized medicine and remote patient management.

Launch of the Institute

Future4care announced the creation of the Institute on March 22, during the first conference “Ethics and e-health in 2030”, structured around three activities: an academy, a think-tank and circles. Its scientific and ethical council, bringing together personalities from various disciplines, is chaired by Professor Olivier Guérin.

In 2022, the first work will focus on the impact of digital technology on personalized medicine and access to remote care.

New partnerships

Future4care, which aims to become the benchmark European hub in e-health, announced last March a partnership with PariSanté Campus and the @Hôtel-Dieu initiative.

Be-Ys, Biocodex, Alira Health and UCB have joined the ecosystem as industrial partners.

In January 2022, Beys, an expert in high-tech digital trust and data governance applied to insurance and health, was the first to join the Future4care ecosystem. The following April, Biocodex, a pioneer and international pharmaceutical player in the field of microbiota and women’s health, was integrated, thus reinforcing the multidisciplinarity desired by the founders of Future4care. He was joined this month by another player in this field: the biopharmaceutical company UCB, which specializes in serious diseases in immunology and neurology. Alira Health, a health consulting company based in Europe and the United States, whose mission is to humanize health care, has also integrated Future4care.

Other companies will follow very soon to give Future4care and will come to give Future4care its full European dimension. To symbolize these first successes, Future4care therefore inaugurated on May 16 the opening of its premises and its digital platform entirely designed to promote ideation, collaboration and more broadly innovation.

Agnès De Leersnyder, Managing Director of Future4care said:

“We are very proud, together with the Future4care team and the involved employees of our founders, of the progress made over the past 12 months. Today, more than a hundred entrepreneurs, experts, researchers and other health professionals have joined us. The adventure has only just begun. We give you an appointment in a year. »
