Sorius realizes its first fundraising to transform, democratize, secure the practice of cycling in the world. Niels Brouzes is Founder, President and Director of Customer Experience at Sorius. Alexandre Rispal is co-founder of Sorius and advisor on the strategy and the business of the startup. They analyze for us the reasons for the growth of this Start-up which has just carried out its first significant fundraising of 500,000 euros.

Niels Brouzes: What is a Startup? This is the first question to ask. A Start-up is a technology company that has rapid growth and an international dimension. Sorius ticks all of those boxes. We had immediate success with already 1,000 active users of the coaching platform. In summary, Sorius has found its market since its launch and we are in an acceleration phase.
You say rapid development, is that possible in cycling?
Alexandre Rispal: Yes, our goal is to become the leader in digital cycling coaching on a global scale using artificial intelligence. Sorius is the only Start-up that brings together several sectors of activity: health, coaching, prevention. On the one hand, cycling, with coaching, but also everything related to the prevention of health risks. Regarding this, we will be able to prevent these risks, offer them to health and insurance players with the aim that the insured have fewer pathologies and can thus regain physical activity. Sorius is also an exclusive experience of cycling passion, through the platform, which develops around coaching a host of other services such as equipment, textiles, travel. We have a much broader vision than coaching!
When we talk about Sorius, we are talking about a community. Today, concretely, what is in place to ensure that the latter develops as quickly as possible?
Niels Brouzes: The cyclo-cross team created by Lucie Lefevre and myself was born only two years ago with a purple jersey that we obviously keep as a symbol and recognizable among all. We then had our first fifty testers who tried and fine-tuned the application on one of our two subscription formulas that we currently offer. In recent weeks, we have registered our first thousand users who have joined, like a tsunami, our colors through various competitions such as cyclosportives or even simply Sunday outings. More and more, we see cyclists riding with the Sorius jersey in France and abroad where we already have a strong demand from Anglo-Saxon countries and northern Europe.
You have just raised funds of 500,000 euros and it is a milestone in the cycling world because it is rare. For people who are not used to the thing, what exactly is fundraising and what is its purpose?
Alexandre Rispal: A fundraiser is an equity investment by investors in the company to accelerate its growth, this is how Apple, Google and Facebook got started. This financial contribution then makes it possible to put in place a strategy to develop our project which is that of becoming a leader in coaching. In fact, fundraising allows several things. The first to improve the product at the service of cyclists. These are the users who, each day, help us to improve the product. This allows us to acquire growth, more customers, to sign with more partners. The sooner we will have users, the sooner we will be able to think internationally. Because we want to quickly offer our services to other communities of cyclists in the world.
